On my roof Dark and I'm burning a rose I don't need proof I'm torn apart and numb What you did to me was a crime Cold Case Love And I let you reach me one more time But that's enough
Your love was breaking the law But I needed a witness So pick me up when it's over It don't make any difference Will it ever be solved Or am I taking the fall Truth was there all along Tell me how did we miss it
We opened up a cold case love And it got the best of us And now prints, pictures & white outlines Are all that's left at the scene of a crime Of a cold case love
Should've investigated But love blinded eyes Couldn't see (no) And then I tried to cage it But your love ain't the kind you can keep Release me now cause I did my time Of this cold case love My heart's no longer cold & confined I've had enough
We lost our way Took this too far Now I'll never find the pieces of my heart We've lost enough Looking for a truth That was here all along
Why do we sometimes find that we lie to ourselves, hoping things would change for the better when deep down, we already knew the answer? Yet repeatedly, we allow ourselves to get disappointed, and as a result, get hurt, over the same mistakes. It's funny how emotions get in the way of sensible thinking. Like clashes of colour, sometimes it can turn out to be a masterpiece, but most times it just looks like it went wrong somewhere along the line.
I'm in a huge concert phase at the moment; I want to see everyone, everywhere, everytime! Concerts allow you to experience some of your favourite artists in a way that can't be described or replicated in any other form. Their music touches you on a whole different level and to be able to share the music you enjoy so much with the performer, it makes it that much more personal.
Having said this, here's a list of artists I'd definitely like to check out in concert:
The Fray x2 (And I'd see them again and again!) One Republic Mariah Carey Black Eyed Peas Lady Gaga (July 11th!!!) Justin Timberlake (Can't believe I missed him the last time) Pussycat Dolls Spice Girls (if they ever do another tour) Britney Spears x3 (Amazing performer, that's no surprise) Kings of Leon 30 Seconds to Mars Alicia Keys (Most humble person ever!) Rihanna (August 5th) Marianas Trench Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker Evanescence Usher Michael Buble (He's my guilty pleasure) (August 10/11) Aaron Kwok x 2 (He never gets old ^_^)
I'm sure the list will grow as time goes on. Hopefully I'll be able to catch them all before their careers peak . Soooo looking forward to the fun that's to come!
